Schill: [I spoke with Theo on the] last day of the homestand and we were talking about some of the young kids that have been up and down this year as well as [Mark] Buehrle’s situation. Be a real shame if you short out those wires you just baked into your coffee mug! Either way, ceramic is not a fantastic way to encase electronics, and would do absolutely nothing to prevent optical hard drive damage due to the sound caused by inert gas discharge fire suppression systems.
The priest was invoking it to remind the congregation of all the different ways their traditions needed to live on: a symbol of faith in the face of religious and cultural assimilation. Catholicism places a lot of symbolism in food: loaves and fishes. The body and blood of Christ.
